The vengeful ningyo
The last hours of the Fantasy Gacha Carnival are upon us and I have one final outfit to show from all the the fantastic February fashion events. So if you haven’t been already, now is your very last chance as the March events are setting up as I write this!
The beauty of ancient Japanese culture has always been a fascination of mine. So this look was inspired by a mix of stories that have moved me: Memoirs of a Geisha, Lucy Liu’s character in Kill Bill (especially the beautiful snow fighting scene) and of course the mystical mer stories about Ningyos, the name for Asian mermaids. The idea was born when I found the amazing hair sticks by May’s Soul at the all new Fantasy Room. Then the perfect shoes and socks from GD at the Fantasy Gacha Carnival. I wasn’t lucky enough to click on the full kimono at the Gacha event, so I did some shopping and finally found this delicately flowered one by Meli Imako. I finished the look off with the .aisling. Faranth collar, also from the Fantasy Gacha Carnival (I know, I know, shown it before, but I cant get enough of it), the pretty head jewels from Sweet Poison at the Fantasy Collective and a katana sword made by my very good friend Missgwen. The skin is Essences‘ Valentine’s offering for Dressing Room Fusion and it is gorgeous! Now I am off to find some roleplay for my vengeful little Asian mermaid, so see you soon for an update on the March fashion events, its going to be another busy month for fantasy fashion!
